Ekaterina "Katya" Ageenko was born and raised in a Siberia, Russia.
Katya was introduced to dance world at the age of 6 when she started taking classical and traditional folklore classes.
By finishing up high school Katya gained valuable experience including participation in many local and national dance competitions.
At University Katya found out about Hip-Hop culture that made a new curve in her dance journey.
Katya’s passion to Hip-Hop lead her to become a part of Street Dance Federation as an instructor and choreographer.
Based on her achievements and outstanding reputation she was casted for TOP level events like Opening Ceremony of Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 and Hip-Hop International Russia Division.
In 2017, Katya decided to continue her journey in New York to get international experience on a highest level.
Currently Katya is a principal dancer in “Lakai Dance Theater” based in Boston.
One of the featured events for Katya in USA was South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
Katya actively participates in showcases, dance intensives by Rhapsody James, Galen Hooks, Candace Brown and many others.
